Culinary Add-Ons of Distinction
1. Put an Egg on it!
That one is fairly straightforward and rather obvious. Steak and Eggs. Breakfast Hamburger ... put an Egg on it. A bowl of steaming Ramen. Chili con Carne.
That's for starters. Any time you want to up the food value and appetite appeal ... PUT AN EGG ON IT!
2. Add a ladle of Chili.
Not only can you put an Egg on Chili con Carne, you can put some Chili on the Egg too.
The other day we had some leftover French Fries and Chili con Carne. So we brought the French Fries back with some steam and scrambled them up with Eggs. Since there wasn't but a scant cup of leftover Chili, we spooned that onto the plated melange of Eggs and Fries as "Huevos con Papas Fritas — with a Chili Dump".
Yes, you read it right ... a CHILI DUMP! Try it.
So there you have it. What might be the Yin and the Yang of Eggs and Chili con Carne. One with the Huevos on top. The other, well ... Dumped.
